CROISSANT EGG SANDWICH

For a gal who loves food, even fighting a cold with no appetite, I still need to eat to get better.  Today for lunch I had a sunny side up egg with toasted croissant.

All you need:

  • 1 Croissant
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • dash of pepper
  • roasted seaweed
  • chili pepper mix
  • dash of salt (optional)

Let’s begin…Cut your croissant in half and place in the oven on broil for 2-3 min or until it is toasted enough.  Be careful as it gets pretty toasty quick!  Place the olive oil in your skillet with the heat on high.  Allow the skillet to heat for 20-30 secs.  It is ready once you see the oil sizzling.  Place the egg into the skillet, wait for 15 secs and turn it down to medium heat.  Place a cover over the skillet.  Wait about a min or two–depending how cooked you want your yolk.  Immediately take your egg and place it on your croissant and season away with what you want!  I added, pepper, roasted seaweed and chili pepper.  I felt a little Japanese inspired this evening.  Just enough taste for me to at least feed my body because I have no appetite right about now!

Happy Wednesday..What did ya have for lunch today?
